Jiangsu WRD Tools Co., Ltd. was established in March 2007 with a registered capital of RMB 10 million. Our 12,000 m² plant in Danyang, Jiangsu, houses dedicated workshops for wood drill bits, HSS twist drill bits and annular cutters, staffed by more than 150 employees.
We control the full process in-house — from bar cutting and heat treatment to CNC flute grinding, coating, inspection and packaging — which lets us hold DIN tolerances and offer non-standard custom tools. Annual sales exceeded RMB 80 million in 2021, and the company was approved as a High-Tech Enterprise of Jiangsu Province in 2019.

From Steel Bar to Finished Bit
Six controlled stages, each with its own inspection checkpoint, keep hardness, concentricity and point geometry consistent from the first carton to the last.
Raw Material Cutting
HSS bar stock verified by grade, then cut to blank length.
Rough Grinding
Flutes rolled, milled or ground to near-net shape.
Heat Treatment
Vacuum / salt-bath hardening and tempering for target HRC.
Precision Grinding
CNC fully-ground flutes, 118°/135° split points, coatings.
Quality Inspection
Hardness, diameter, run-out and drilling tests per batch.
Packaging

Sourcing Questions
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for OEM drill bits?
MOQ depends on the item. Most single drill bits start from 100 to 500 pieces, annular cutters and hole saw kits from 10 pieces or sets, and custom-packaged drill bit sets from about 1,200 pieces.
Which HSS grade should I choose: HSS 4241, M2 (6542) or M35 cobalt?
HSS 4241 suits DIY and soft metals at a low cost. M2 (HSS 6542) is the professional standard for general steel. M35 with 5% cobalt keeps its hardness at higher temperatures and is recommended for stainless steel and hard alloys.
Can you print our brand on drill bits and packaging?
Yes. Full customization is available, including laser marking on the shank, coating colour, blister cards, plastic or metal cases and private-label color boxes.
Is the factory audited by a third party?
Yes. Our premises, production lines and QA/QC capability have been verified onsite by Intertek, and the company was recognised as a High-Tech Enterprise of Jiangsu Province in 2019.
What is the difference between HSS and TCT annular cutters?
HSS annular cutters are economical and resharpenable for mild steel up to medium thickness. TCT (tungsten carbide tipped) cutters stay sharp longer in stainless steel, rail steel and thick structural plate and are preferred for high-volume fabrication.
